About me
I am a a Clinical and Counselling Psychologist with over 20 years’ experience working in adult mental health, both Portugal and the United Kingdom.
I am experienced in working with clients from different cultural backgrounds, in the provision of evidence-based psychological therapies, tailored to each client’s needs, on a wide range of difficulties related to depression, anxiety, trauma, neurodiversity, personality disorders, work-related stress and burnout, behaviour management difficulties, emotional dysregulation, and relationship issues.

DBT: Dialectical Behavior Therapy Recommended for those who want to learn skills to manage intense emotions and improve their relationships, especially if they feel easily overwhelmed.
EMDRRecommended for those dealing with trauma who want to process painful memories in a structured way to reduce their emotional impact.
Schema therapyRecommended for those who want to break out of negative patterns or "schemas" that they developed early in life and keep repeating.
The therapy modalities I offer include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, and EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing.
I am registered with the professional bodies in the United Kingdom (HCPC, British Psychological Society) and Portugal (OPP -Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses).
