I am a psychologist who just completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychosexology at Sapienza University of Rome. My academic and clinical background combines training in both neuropsychology and psychosexology, with particular interest in sexuality, gender identity, relationships, and emotional wellbeing.
Most of my practical experience so far has been in neuropsychological and rehabilitation settings in Germany and Italy, where I worked with cognitive assessments, structured clinical interviews, cognitive training, and clinical documentation. Through these experiences, I developed strong skills in working empathetically and professionally with individuals facing a variety of psychological and neurological challenges, including dementia-related and other neurological conditions.
Alongside my neuropsychology background, my current studies and training focus strongly on psychosexology and inclusive mental health care. During my Master’s program, I have engaged deeply with topics related to intimacy, sexual wellbeing, LGBTQ+ experiences, and gender diversity. My thesis work specifically focuses on psychological aspects of healthcare access and wellbeing among transgender and gender-diverse individuals. These areas are especially important to me, and I strive to create a therapeutic space that is open, respectful, affirming, and free from judgment.
I work in English and German, and I aim to meet each client with openness, empathy, and curiosity about their unique experiences. I believe therapy should feel collaborative and supportive, with space to explore thoughts, emotions, and challenges at a pace that feels comfortable for the individual.
My therapeutic approach is primarily client-centered and based on creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves openly. I believe that every person’s experiences and needs are different, which is why I see therapy as a collaborative process that should be adapted to each individual rather than following a rigid structure.
My background in neuropsychology has given me experience in understanding the relationship between cognition, emotions, behavior, and overall wellbeing. At the same time, my current specialization in psychosexology has led me to focus more strongly on topics related to sexuality, intimacy, relationships, gender identity, self-esteem, and LGBTQ+ experiences. I am especially committed to offering an inclusive and affirming space for people exploring questions around identity, relationships, and sexual wellbeing.
In sessions, I aim to combine empathy, active listening, reflection, and psychoeducation where helpful. Some clients come to therapy with a specific issue they want to address, while others may simply want a space to better understand themselves and their emotions. In either case, I believe it is important that therapy moves at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
Rather than seeing therapy as a process of “fixing” people, I see it as an opportunity for self-understanding, growth, and developing healthier ways of relating to oneself and others. My goal is to support clients in feeling heard, understood, and more connected to themselves in a compassionate and non-judgmental environment.
