I am a psychologist offering sessions to adults, couples, and families, supporting relationship dynamics, emotional challenges (e.g., anxiety and depression), and life transitions, in both Greek and English.
I am a Greek-licensed Psychologist with an MSc in Clinical Psychology. Since 2023, I have been providing therapy and counseling to adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, family issues, and everyday life challenges.
As an expat for the past four years, I have personally experienced the emotional and psychological impact of relocation, which allows me to empathize with individuals adjusting to life transitions abroad. My clinical experience with older adults and their families has increased my understanding of family systems, intergenerational patterns, and resilience. Moreover, through volunteering in the Netherlands, I offer psychological support to young people (12–25 years old), influencing my systemic perspective across different life stages.
In addition to individual therapy, I offer couples and family counseling. In couples counseling, I support partners in improving communication, navigating conflict, and understanding recurring relational patterns. In family therapy, the focus expands to the family system, exploring roles, boundaries, and dynamics that influence each other.
My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with systemic approach. By addressing unhelpful thought patterns while also examining the relational systems (family, work, partnerships) surrounding the individual, couple, or family, the goal is to foster healthier interactions, emotional awareness, and sustainable change.
As a graduate with a master's degree in Clinical Psychology, I am trained in active listening and in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space for individuals to share their thoughts and feelings. This fosters a therapeutic environment conducive to personal growth. During my master's program, I received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, and I am currently in training for the systemic approach.
Systemic therapy is grounded in the idea that difficulties do not exist in isolation within a person, but are created and maintained within patterns of relationships. Rather than asking “What is wrong with this individual?”, the systemic approach asks, “What is happening between people, and how is this pattern being sustained?”
The core principles of the systemic approach include a focus on relationships and interactional patterns, an understanding of circular causality, recognition of the importance of context, and the exploration of roles, strengths, and resources. Instead of linear causality thinking (A causes B), systemic therapy works with circular causality, namely how A influences B, which in turn influences A. That perspective reduces blame and increases shared responsibility. Eventually, the systemic approach focuses on possible change, understanding, and more functional relational patterns; not by “fixing” one person, but by noticing and switching the dynamics between people.
