As a psychologist, I focus on mothers'/parents' struggles to survive through daily life and manage their manifold tasks, with a special eye on mindfulness and self-care in order to build psychological resilience.
I am a trained theoretical psychologist (M.Sc.) who ordinarily focusses on the structure of scientific revolutions (Kuhn, 1977) hence, epistemological and ontological problems of the academic engine (Hacking, 2007). For nearly two years now, I am working as a psychologist in a parent-child cure clinic, having conducted 500+ one-on-one sessions and having lead 200+ groups focussing on coping with stress in daily life, self-care, meditation and relaxation techniques (progressive muscle relaxation and autogeneous training). Additionally, I voluntary gave 50+ talks about how to cope with the climate crisis and am member of the Psychologists/Psychotherapists For Future e.V.
Having worked as a (English, Math and Science) teacher in a Tibetan monastery in northern India for 500 days, I learned a lot about the holistic approach to mental well-being by the so-called mindfulness traditions. Being aware of the various and fundamental differences between western and eastern cultures/paradigms, I try to help resolving some incommensurability problems between those (Kuhn, 1977) in respect to mindfulness-practice. On that note, I like the behaviourist positive psychology movement (esp. 3rd wave), Carl Rogers' unconditional positive regard and the critical psychoanalyst movement around C.G. Jung and E.Fromm.
