Born in Brazil, I also hold an Italian passport. After completing my degree in 2006, I moved to Rio de Janeiro, where I began my professional journey through specialization courses and training in psychiatric and general hospitals.
I have been a psychologist for the past 18 years, gaining experience in various fields and approaches (you can find more detailed information on my LinkedIn profile at www.linkedin.com/in/helenpereirapsychologist).
In 2018, I moved to Sydney, Australia, and challenged myself while studying and improving my English skills, working in customer service, sales, and marketing.
In 2020, I returned to the mental health field, offering online and in-person sessions to Brazilians living in Australia.
Currently living in Singapore, I continue having clients from Australia while expanding to other cultures and backgrounds. It's fascinating to see how society and culture can impact a person's life and mental development.
Thanks to virtual platforms and healthcare technology, I strongly believe that the possibility of working remotely offers access, delivery, affordability, and equity to mental healthcare, raising awareness, improving understanding, and combating stigma and discrimination.
I am a trained clinical psychologist from Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, Brazil. After completing a five-year, full-time honours degree in psychology, I moved to Rio de Janeiro, where I further developed my clinical training and experience. I worked in the child psychiatry unit at the Philippe Pinel Institute and in the Obesity and Bariatric Surgery Department at HUCFF, the university hospital of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). During this time, I also pursued a Master’s degree in Sciences (Endocrinology) at UFRJ’s medical school, one of Brazil’s most prestigious academic institutions.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in psychoanalysis and psychodynamic psychotherapy. I don’t offer quick solutions or ready-made advice—because meaningful, lasting change takes time, reflection, and emotional insight.
Instead, I offer a safe and thoughtful space to explore the unconscious patterns, inner conflicts, and relational dynamics that shape how you experience yourself and others. Together, we revisit and re-signify your emotional world, creating new ways of making sense of your life.
My aim is to help you navigate challenges, uncertainties, and transitions with more clarity, strength, and self-understanding
I am fascinated by individual differences, and the very singular ways to exist.
