About me

I’m a Clinical Counsellor and Psychotherapist with a Masters in Counselling Psychology and over 15 years of experience across Australia, the Middle East, China, and online. I originally trained as a psychologist and after working within a more medicalized model, I chose to focus on psychotherapy in order to engage more fully in the relational process of therapy and support clients through their lived emotional experiences rather than diagnosis alone. This foundation continues to inform my work today. My current registration with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) additionally allows me to see clients across the globe, regardless of where I am based. A multicultural third culture kid myself, I specialize in working with expats, third-culture individuals, and globally mobile clients navigating anxiety, identity shifts, relationship stress, and the emotional impact of constant transition. Having grown up between cultures, I understand the internal disconnection and loss of footing that can come with frequent change. Clients often come to me feeling overwhelmed or stuck and describe our work together as grounding, clarifying, and empowering. My goal is to help people reconnect with themselves, feel more emotionally equipped, and move forward with greater confidence and self-understanding.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
ACT: Acceptance and Commitment TherapyRecommended for those who want to stop fighting negative thoughts and learn how to live with more acceptance and focus on what really matters in life.
CBT: Cognitive behavioral therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
Person-centered approachRecommended for those looking for a supportive, non-judgmental space where they can lead the conversation and explore their feelings at their own pace.
My approach is relational, practical, and culturally responsive. I draw from my background in psychology while maintaining a strong focus on the human experience behind the symptoms. Using an integrative approach, I tailor each session to you, listening carefully to your goals and supporting you in moving forward at your own pace. I offer insight, tools, and support that feel relevant and respectful of each client’s context and culture. In our first session, I focus on building trust and creating a space where you feel safe, understood, and not judged. I clarify the confidentiality framework and ask open questions to explore what brings you to therapy. In ongoing sessions, I regularly check in to see what is working, invite feedback, and adjust the process collaboratively. I sometimes use structured feedback tools to help track progress, but I prioritize dialogue and connection. Therapy with me is not just about understanding problems. It is about helping you feel more capable, more connected, and more aligned with the life you want to live.

Experience

I’m a Master’s-level therapist and a third-culture kid with mixed heritage who has lived across continents. I know what it’s like to build a life between cultures. To look like you're coping on the outside while quietly carrying disconnection, identity confusion, or emotional exhaustion. That lived experience, combined with over 15 years of clinical work, shapes how I show up for you. Before starting my online private practice, I worked in mental health organisations, schools, and international communities. I supported people dealing with anxiety, burnout, cultural adjustment, relationship strain, and that lingering sense of not quite belonging. Clients say they feel really seen and understood. I’m warm and down to earth, believe laughter and dry humour can be as therapeutic as tears and dawning realisations in session, and also bring focus and direction. I help your get to the core of what’s going on to build a steadier, more grounded path forward.
