I'm a licensed Trans-personal Psychotherapist originally from Turkey. As a teenager, I moved with my family to the United States, where I completed my undergraduate studies. In my twenties I relocated again and I am currently living in Tel Aviv, Israel with my husband and son. Having uprooted my life so many times, I identify with the challenges involved starting a new life in a strange country, which has really come to serve my clients, who are often expats or new immigrants.
My life experiences and the challenges I have faced have shaped my work as a therapist. I believe that with empathy, compassion and curiosity, a knowledgeable therapist can help a client even if they have not personally experienced the particular issues they bring to the sessions. On the other hand, having walked the path does help. All the tools and techniques I use with my clients (i.e. guided meditation, breath work, somatic work, family constellations, and more), I practice in my own journey of growth, development and healing. That remains my personal oath as a therapist: to walk the path that I preach to my clients.
I specialize in chronic pain, anxiety, and health related issues. Indeed, it was through my personal experience with chronic pain that led me to explore the mind-body connection professionally to not only to heal myself but help others unlock the potential of our bodies' power to heal.
Testimonials:
Past client, two years after the conclusion of therapy: "I know it's been years but I had to tell you that I passed my driving test yesterday. This was the hardest thing I've ever done and I really credit you with so much of it. Learning how to calm my body down was the only way I could start driving lessons without panicking. I'm just so appreciative and happy that I saw your post that day. Thank you for everything!! And I hope you and your family are doing really well."
