As a qualified psychologist and an official member of the Dutch Institute of Psychologists (NIP) currently practicing in The Hague, Netherlands, I bring a diverse background to my practice. Born in Romania and raised in Canada, and having moved around extensively throughout my life, I have cultivated a unique perspective and adaptability that significantly shapes my approach.
I am passionate about helping people navigate their psychological struggles and engage in self-understanding with the aim of bettering emotional well-being, fulfilling personal goals and ultimately promoting an adaptive mindset. We all carry with us a unique story shaped by our experiences, dreams, and challenges. Recognizing and honoring our personal narratives is not just important – it’s vital. This can serve as a catalyst for gaining deeper insights into who we are and how we relate to the world. Yet, this can be overwhelming when faced alone. Scientific research supports the notion that each of us have an inherent capacity for growth and healing. However, often times, if we are lacking a safe and positive relationship, this capacity can be stunted. This is where our work together begins.
Through my extensive relocations, I have encountered the complexities and rewards of life as a migrant/expat firsthand. These experiences, coupled with my professional work with international clients, underscore the importance of fostering an open, flexible, and curious mindset. Committed to continual growth, I actively pursue ongoing professional development and clinical supervision, with much of my learning derived from the meaningful exchanges I have with my clients.
My specialities include but not limited to:
- expat life adjustments
- loneliness
- relational difficulties
- anxiety
- low mood
- depression
- complex trauma
- self-development, low self-esteem
- breaking lifelong unhelpful patterns
- exploring personality adaptations
