About me

Life can feel overwhelming at times. You may be carrying anxiety, self-doubt, sadness, grief, or a sense of disconnection from yourself or others. You might feel emotionally exhausted, stuck in painful patterns, or unsure how to move forward, and you don’t have to do it alone. Research consistently shows that it is not the severity of what happens to us that determines healing, but whether we have safe, supportive relationships where we can be seen, understood, and helped. Therapy offers that space, a place to slow down, make sense of what is happening inside, and find new ways to move forward with more clarity and strength. I support adults and young people navigating anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, trauma, and major life transitions. My work includes both short-term support and longer-term therapy, always paced with care and respect for your individual process. Having lived in several countries myself, I understand the emotional complexity of expat life - navigating identity, belonging, relationships, and the feeling of being “in between” worlds. Many of the clients I work with are expats, international families, and professionals building a life in the Netherlands. I offer online counselling and therapy in The Hague and worldwide and in-person therapy sessions in The Hague, in English and Russian. My approach is integrative and person-centered, combining depth-oriented work with practical tools for emotional regulation, insight, and change. Together, we focus on what feels most helpful for you, whether that is understanding old patterns, strengthening resilience, or creating a clearer direction for your life. In addition to individual psychotherapy, I offer couples therapy, marriage counselling, and parenting support. My practice includes trauma-informed therapy, Brainspotting therapy for trauma and anxiety, attachment-focused work, and stress and burnout support. I also deliver professional coaching and workshops on effective communication, emotional regulation, and personal development. I am a registered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), the Netherlands Institute of Psychologists (NIP - 247527), Youth Quality Register ( Kwaliteitsregister Jeugd - 160042735) and the Dutch Association for Supervision and Coaching (LVSC). I work in accordance with the professional and ethical code of the Netherlands Institute of Psychologists (NIP).

Approach

Treatment Approaches
CounsellingRecommended for those who want to talk through their emotional challenges with a professional in a safe, supportive environment.
Psychotherapy Recommended for those who want to work through emotional or mental health challenges by talking with a trained psychotherapist.
Trauma Informed CareRecommended for those who have experienced trauma and need a safe, supportive space to heal at their own pace.
My approach is integrative, person-centred, and trauma-informed, combining depth-oriented exploration with practical tools for emotional balance and change. I draw from psychodynamic therapy, CBT, Gestalt, and Nonviolent Communication (NVC), as well as Brainspotting — a body-based method effective for trauma, anxiety, and unresolved emotional pain. I also integrate elements of coaching and DBT, offering structure and concrete strategies for emotional regulation, resilience, and clarity. Depending on your needs, our work may focus on understanding patterns from the past, strengthening coping skills in the present, or building direction and confidence for the future. Above all, I believe therapy should feel safe, authentic, and collaborative. My aim is to help you reconnect with your inner strength and create a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and your own.
