Welcome! My name is Silvana. I am a Brazilian clinical and social psychologist, based in the Netherlands since 2018. I truly believe diversity enriches us, and I am guided by values of freedom, equality, integrity, and dignity in all aspects of my life. I began my career at the United Nations, working in a behavioral program. After completing a Master’s in Social Psychology and specializing in Clinical psychosomatic Trauma Therapy, I established my private practice. Later, I moved to Phoenix/USA, where I expanded my experience by learning and working with individuals facing severe psychiatric conditions and addiction. Since 2022, I have been working in a residential clinic in NL, supporting young adults and their families through complex emotional and developmental challenges. Some of the topics I can support you with include: Depression and/or anxiety Complex trauma / PTSD Relationship problems Couples (communication, psychological flexibility, connection) Questions related to sexuality / gender Psychiatric diagnoses, including Cluster B personality disorders, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Substance Use Disorders Body related problems: self-image, BDD, eating disorder.
My work centers on emotions helping you recognize, understand, express, and transform them in a safe and supportive space. It is through our shared connection that meaningful change becomes possible. There is simply no other path. So during our first sessions, I will invite you to invest in building a connection between us. From there, we will work together to create a treatment plan aligned with your needs. I am known for my warm, yet assertive approach. I like to create a space where we can feel at ease, while also addressing the serious work needed for real growth. I can’t wait to walk alongside you on your journey. Cheers!
