About me
My clinical practice is a result of the philosophical work I have done on the question: what is rape? Theoretically, I come from the continental philosophical tradition, specifically, German Idealism. When I decided to research the question of rape, I chose to work with Alenka Zupančič at The European Graduate School where I earned a PhD in Philosophy. Through this process, it became clear that in order to articulate an answer that would be necessary and sufficient I would have to engage with the psychoanalytic clinic. In 2022 I became a License Qualifying Candidate at New York City's National Psychological Association of Psychoanalysis (founded by Freud's student, Theodore Reich), where I continue to train. I am also completing a Lacanian and Freudian psychoanalytic formation though the Center for Lacanian Analysis out of New Zealand from which I will earn a License in Psychotherapy. I have recently relocated to Tirana, Albania where, in addition to clinical work, I am researching and writing.

Though I am educated in many psychoanalytic modalities, the approach I insist on is Lacanian and Freudian Psychoanalysis. This is because it has the most thoroughly elaborated structural description of the conditions for the development of the human psyche, and therefore, the most efficacious diagnostic and treatment models. In practice, what this looks like is a space where you can channel your suffering, not merely to continue to suffer, but to expose the symptom and its conditions in order to transform them--resulting in the mitigation of suffering.
Though the emphasis of my expertise lies in trauma of a sexual nature, I am equipped to deal with any symptom where there is suffering present-- perhaps even in the form of its lack.
