About me

Hi, I'm Isabelle Bouvier, a French-British psychologist offering support in English and French, who specializes in supporting adults through life's complexities. Having lived in different countries (Montreal, Brussels, Berlin, Prague), I have a particular understanding of the challenges that come with cultural transitions, identity shifts, and feeling caught between different worlds. Outside of work, I find that time spent in nature and creative expression through dancing and sculpting offer especially soothing ways to reconnect with myself and appreciate life's simpler, yet essential moments. I work with people who are navigating work stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or simply trying to find their balance when everything feels uncertain. My approach is grounded in research but always tailored to what matters most to you. Whether you're dealing with workplace pressures, feeling disconnected after a major change, or working through anxiety and overwhelm, I'm here to provide a safe space where we can explore what's happening and work toward meaningful change.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
CBT: Cognitive behavioral therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
Systemic ApproachRecommended for those who want to look at how different systems—like family, work, or society—affect their behavior and relationships.
Within our sessions, you will find compassionate and structured, goal-focused support to help you navigate your current life challenges. Having lived across borders, I understand how complex it can be to feel at home in yourself, especially when identities, cultures, or roles collide. Meaningful change comes from understanding you as a whole person. That's why I place great importance on getting to know you across your different identities: your personal, professional, and cultural context all matter. I can use evidence-based approaches like CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), when relevant, to help you understand the link between your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. We can work on emotional regulation, strengthening self-confidence, and dealing with stress and anxiety. Our work together is structured but never rigid. We will go at your own pace, following the paths that feel right. My role is collaborative, you are the narrator of your own story, and I'm here to help light up the way forward. Sometimes our sessions might feel like a conversation where I share hypotheses or observations aimed at helping you uncover unhelpful thought patterns and negative core beliefs. I stand as a human by your side. I believe in the power of connection and feeling safe to share what's on your mind. I don't hold unrealistic expectations about healing or impose a specific idea of what a "healed person" should look like. We are all different and what works for one person, may not fit all. That is why I'll be supporting you in finding the answers you need that truly resonate with you, at your own pace.
