I work with clients who wish to explore emotional, relational, existential, and spiritual questions through a somatic, relational approach. I offer individual sessions in Authentic movement.
I support people who are navigating change, complexity, or moments when familiar ways of being no longer quite fit. Many of those I work with are thoughtful, sensitive, and capable, yet feel ungrounded, overwhelmed, or unsure about their next step. My work offers a steady, compassionate space to slow down, listen inwardly, and reconnect with yourself.
My coaching work is deeply informed by more than twenty-five years of meditation and embodied practice, drawn from both Eastern and Western traditions. These practices have shaped how I listen, how I stay present with uncertainty, and how I recognise subtle shifts in awareness, sensation, and meaning. Alongside this, my training in the modality of the Discipline of Authentic Movement informs how I work with relational awareness and the ways insight and change emerge through the body, not only through words.
My life and work have unfolded across several countries: Norway, the UK, the USA, and now Italy. Living between cultures has offered me a lived experience of shifts in belonging and identity, giving me a deep respect for moments when old structures fall away, and something new is beginning to form, though not yet clear. In our work together, I bring warmth and careful attention. I listen to what is spoken and to what lives beneath the words, waiting to be known. Sessions may include reflective conversation, somatic awareness, or simple movement-based inquiry, at a pace that honours your unique process towards greater clarity as you move forward.
If you’re arriving here during a time of questioning or transition, you’re welcome. Reaching out can be a meaningful first step, and I meet it with care.
My approach is holistic and relational, rooted in Integral and Somatic Coaching. I work with the whole person, mind, body, emotions, history, and the rhythms of your nervous system, supporting what is alive in you be noticed and felt. At the heart of the work is the relationship between us. A space where we pause and listen; where patterns in the body and mind, tension, habitual responses, or emotional rhythms are met with curiosity and care, not judgment. Sometimes this includes simple, optional movement drawn from the Discipline of Authentic Movement, offering a way to sense and listen more deeply, but you are always welcome to simply talk. My intention is to create a space where all your parts are welcome, your questions, your uncertainty, your sensitivity, and your strength. Change unfolds at its own pace, and I accompany you with presence, warmth, and steady attention, so clarity and unfolding can arise naturally.
A former client writes: "Anne Egseth brings great presence and care to her work. Her Authentic Movement practice is a deeply nourishing way to reconnect with the body, intuition, and self. I have been lucky to work with her, and I hope many of you who are looking for a deeper way of engaging will consider exploring working with her." — Dr Ina Gikondi, Curator of Creative Learning Experiences and Leadership Development, George Washington University.
My private coaching practice spans over a decade. Since 2012, I have served as a faculty member for the NVW Professional Coaching Course (San Francisco), where I mentor student coaches and teach somatic-based practices. I teach The Discipline of Authentic Movement both online and in person, working with groups and individuals. In addition, I have instructed movement and mindfulness within leadership programs at university-level institutions. Before becoming a coach, I worked for fifteen years as an actor, performing in theatres in the UK and Norway. This background continues to inform my sensitivity to presence, creative expression, and the relational field. My first novel, This Is All He Asks of You, was published by Roundfire Books in 2021 .
