I help teens and adults with anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and identity questions with warmth and curiosity. My style is compassionate, trauma-informed, and totally judgment-free.
Before entering the mental health field I managed restaurants and worked in food service. Although this was an exciting and fun career, I felt drawn to help people more directly.
I am a USA-trained counselor with a masters degree in counseling. I have worked with children as young as 3, as well as teens and adults in navigating anxiety, ADHD, and emotional regulation challenges. I have worked as a crisis counselor providing real-time support to individuals experiencing acute distress, including suicidal ideation and self-harm. I also provide clinical supervision and mentorship to counseling interns, helping developing clinicians strengthen their skills and confidence.
In my free time I enjoy being outside, doing art such as watercolour and print making, and doing handcrafts such as embroidery and crochet. My favorite movie of all time is The Wedding Singer, and my favorite shows are Shrinking, Insecure, Taskmaster, and Family Guy. I enjoy listening to live music and visiting contemporary art museums and exhibits. My bucket list includes experiencing the northern lights and seeing Bad Bunny in concert.
I frequently work with individuals who are exploring who they are, embracing their identity, or navigating the challenges of living openly as their true selves. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, you may face unique social or family stressors, especially when authenticity conflicts with expectations or beliefs. My approach is grounded in a values-based lens, meaning we will use the values most important to you as a guide for decision-making and living a more authentic, meaningful life. When we move out of alignment with our values, it’s common to experience anxiety, depression, or a sense of disconnection. Our work together will aim to restore that sense of authenticity and excitement about life. My therapeutic style is trauma-informed, client-centered, and integrative. I draw on EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I have completed extensive training in EMDR, complex trauma, crisis counseling, and CBT, and ERP (exposure and response prevention) for OCD. I aim to create a space for you where you feel heard and your strengths are recognised and valued. EMDR and other trauma treatments can be helpful for a range of issues including acute, single-incident traumas or repeated traumas such as those experienced in relationships or with family. My clients often come to therapy wanting to better understand themselves, build healthier connections, heal old wounds, or live more authentically. Whether you're exploring who you are, processing trauma, navigating life in a new country, or simply trying to feel more at ease in your own skin, I’m here to help. We’ll work together, at your pace and on your terms, to understand what isn’t working and create a life that you are excited about.
I have been practicing since 2020 in private practice settings and in crisis situations. I have worked with clients ages 3 and up, currently focused on working with teens and adults at all stages of life.
