I am a NIP certified psychologist and I value a holistic perspective. In my therapeutic work, I combine empathy with a grounded, honest, and direct approach. My priority is to create a safe, respectful, and open space.
I am a Lithuanian living in the Netherlands, where I obtained my MSc in Clinical Psychology. I chose this field because I believe in people’s capacity for growth and positive change, and I ground that belief in evidence-based psychological practice. My approach is holistic, integrating not only the mind and body but also the broader influence of environment and community. I see much of human distress as rooted in social and environmental conditions that have become increasingly disconnected from our basic human needs. From an early age, I have been deeply interested in geopolitics, cultures, religions, and various healing traditions. While my work is firmly based on scientific principles and critical thinking, I value curiosity and open-minded exploration of diverse perspectives. As an expatriate myself, I also understand both the challenges and the rewards of adapting to a new country and culture. Having experienced therapy personally, I know that the process can be demanding and emotionally challenging, yet I am confident that it is one of the most meaningful investments one can make in personal wellbeing and growth. I am currently exploring and deepening my understanding of existential anxiety, loneliness, and the ways in which global and societal issues influence our psychological wellbeing.
My therapeutic style is grounded in openness, empathy, and curiosity. I have trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Positive Psychology, and Exposure Therapy as part of my academic and clinical education. I believe there is no single approach that fits every individual or concern, which is why I continuously seek evidence based methods and integrate them thoughtfully into my work.
I work extensively with people on the neurodivergent spectrum (autism, ADHD, and giftedness) using a trauma-informed perspective. My focus is on helping people navigate questions of identity and purpose in the world. For those who feel a lack of direction in today's fast-paced world, I can help find the way. I view therapy as a creative and collaborative process that combines scientific grounding with a degree of ingenuity to tailor interventions to each person’s unique needs.
In therapeutic sessions, I aim to create a private, safe, and confidential environment where clients feel free to express themselves without judgment. I begin by setting clear, flexible goals together with each client, and I adhere strictly to professional confidentiality standards. I believe that genuine openness and safety are essential for exploring even the most difficult thoughts and emotions. My approach is curious and compassionate, sometimes incorporating gentle humour. Moreover, I am not afraid of respectful confrontation when it serves the client’s growth.
I value open communication and encourage honest feedback at all stages of therapy, even when it feels challenging, because I believe that transparency and dialogue are essential to building a strong and effective therapeutic relationship.
