Oubaitori
is the Japanese idea that people—like plants or flowering trees—bloom in their own time and in their own unique way.
It reminds us to lovingly accept our uniqueness without having to compare ourselves to others.
As a psychologist, I see my role as creating a safe space for self-understanding, honest reflection and development at your own pace. My work is holistic in nature and integrates various proven methods. I always draw on the latest scientific findings from global and holistic research to ensure that the support I provide is well-founded and, above all, tailored to each individual. Influences from psychoneuroimmunology, cognitive behavioural therapy, systemic approaches and mindfulness techniques are incorporated. In particular, the holistic view of well-being and health, such as the connection between body and mind, is a focus that is very close to my heart.
It is also important to me not to focus solely on what is difficult or lacking. Positive psychology inspires my work in recognising resources, strengths and sources of meaning, consciously strengthening them and looking at what can be supportive. In coaching and personality development in particular, I want to work together to look at what brings us humans to what is known as ‘flourishing’.
