My name is Mary Koronaiou and I was born in Greece. I have spent part of my upbringing in the United States, and currently live in Greece, which has allowed me to bring a bilingual and bicultural perspective to my work, and offer therapy in both Greek and English. I am a psychologist and systemic psychotherapist in training based in Vrilissia, Athens, where I maintain a private practice offering psychotherapy and counseling to adults, couples, and families. I hold a BSc in Psychology from the University of East London, and an MSc in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Hellenic American Universtiy, and have been trained in the Systemic Approach at the "Logo Psychis" - Institute of Training and Research, specializing in the SANE model (System Attachment Narrative Encephalon).
My approach is systemic and relational, meaning that I focus on understanding patterns in relationships, interaction dynamics, and personal narratives that shape how individuals see themselves and others.
Treatment Approaches
Counseling Aspace to pause, reflect, and speak openly about what you are going through. Together, we explore your thoughts and emotions at your pace, with the aim of gaining clarity, relief, and a stronger sense of direction.
Individual Psychotherapy For those who want to look more deeply into patterns, relationships, and inner experiences. My approach is grounded in systemic thinking, which means we consider not only your personal stroy, but also the wider context of your relationships and life experiences.
Couples Therapy Focused on improving communication, understanding recurring dynamics, and rebuilding connection. I work with couples to create a safe space where both partners feel heard, while we explore new ways of relating to one another.
Family Therapy An opportunitiy for family members to come together and better understand each other's perspectives. We work on reducing conflict, strenghtening communication, and supporting healthier ways of functioning as a system.
I work in private practice as a psychologist and psychotherapist trainee, providing both online and in-person psychotherapy to Greek and English- speaking adults presenting with a wide range of emotional and relational difficulties. I also provide services at the "Logo Psychis" Counseling Center, where I provide systemic psychotherapy to individuals and couples as part of my clinical training. My previous clinical experience includes work as a Mental Health counselor intern at Roots Wellness Center, where I supported clients with anxiety, depression, attachment, and relationship difficulties, panic attacks, and work-related stress.
I hold a BSc in Psychology from the University of East London, and a MSc in Psychology with a specialization in Mental Health Counseling from the Hellenic American University. I am currently a Systemic Psychotherapist trainee at the "Logo Psychis" Training and Research Institute for Systemic Psychotherapy, where I continue to deepen my clinical training with a focus on systemic practice.
