I am a very calm and thoughtful person with an intuitive nature and great empathy. Personally, growing up without my father since the age of seven affected me tremendously and my interest in psychotherapy grew from there. I have travelled extensively and worked for a time as an English teacher in Morocco and Italy. Through lived experience (I am type 1 diabetic, have recovered from a stroke and experienced the difficulties of vision loss) I understand the difficulties and despair that people can go through and that is what drives me to help as many people as possible!
I believe that talking therapy should be available to everyone and so I work to listen to whatever is happening for you now, and look at how past trauma and childhood programming may still affect you unconsciously even though it is inappropriate for your adult self. I use a range of techniques to explore this including integrated psychotherapy, psychodynamic therapy, CBT, Schema Therapy, guided meditation, hypnotherapy, journalling, visualisation, mindfulness, deep breath work , empty chair work, letter writing and more.
