My professional dance and Dance Movement Therapy background has helped me personally become aware of how important our body is in our emotional regulation. In its essence, Dance Movement Therapy can aid us in translating our non-verbal signals (physical) to verbal one. Allowing your body to move freely and express itself in playful and creative ways, will provide space for needs and emotions to come to the surface. Dance Movement Therapy then further helps us explore these parts of ourselves so that we can understand them better. This new physical awareness can result in important guidance for how to recognize strong emotions and manage them more easily.
My approach follows the principles of the Psychodynamic integrated by the LMA (Laban Movement Analysis) and the KMB (Kestenberg Movement Profile), systems and methods of movement observation and analysis, fundamentals tools, and guide of my Dance Therapy - Psychological counseling sessions.
