Portuguese Clinical Psychologist specialising in anxiety, health anxiety, depression, grief, cancer support, and life transitions. Online therapy in Portuguese and English.
I'm a Portuguese Clinical Psychologist with experience supporting people through depression, anxiety, health-related concerns, grief, burnout, and difficult life transitions. Since 2019, I have worked at the Portuguese League Against Cancer, where I've been responsible for the Psycho-Oncology and Health Education/Primary Prevention Departments. This experience has led me to develop a particular interest in psycho-oncology and in the psychological impact of illness, uncertainty, loss, and major life changes.
I deeply value creating a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where each person feels heard and supported in their uniqueness. My goal is to work collaboratively with you to better understand your experiences and develop strategies that promote emotional balance and a more fulfilling life. My approach is tailored to each person's needs and draws primarily on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Outside of my professional life, I prioritize sustainability, compassion, traveling, spending quality time with loved ones, and taking good care of our planet. I see myself as an empathetic, responsible person with clear and authentic communication, qualities I bring into my work as a psychologist.
My practice is deeply rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), integrated with modern CBT and Mindfulness techniques. Rather than just trying to "fix" or suppress difficult thoughts and painful emotions, we will work together to change your relationship with them.
Through an active, warm, and collaborative process, I will help you clarify what truly matters to you, build psychological flexibility, and take concrete steps toward a meaningful life, even in the face of hardship.
I provide online psychotherapy sessions in both English and Portuguese. Whether you are dealing with corporate burnout, adapting to a new country, or coping with a painful loss, you do not have to carry it alone. Feel free to reach out to schedule an initial session.
