About me

My interest in Psychology began in my early teens. I became curious about human relationships and the complexity of the inner self. With this in mind, I decided to study Psychology. Later I wanted to deepen my knowledge, so I moved to Austria to study Psychoanalysis and Psychodynamic therapy. As a student, I became fascinated with the variety of approaches that field can offer, especially with object relations theory and transference-focused psychotherapy. After graduation, I specialised working with adults struggling with trauma, mood and personality disorders. The experience I have gained over a few years with multiple psychological problems brought more light to my understanding of the psyche and its treatment.

My approach

I believe that by forming healthy relationships with a psychotherapist, patients learn to build healthy relationships with others and with themselves. Psychodynamic therapy offers people to look deeper at the roots of their problems and to unravel the torment inside of them. On that journey to the authentic self, patients learn to bring their unconscious wishes to the surface and to discover their true feelings. My professional attitude is to encourage patients to explore more about themselves and to guide them to emotional independence. A safe environment and compassionate listening are essential parts of my psychotherapeutic work. As soon as you decide to begin therapy, we will arrange our first meeting. At the first session known as "an initial interview" I will ask you about your private life and reasons you seek therapy now. It is important for me and for you to see whether you can trust me or not. It is also important to know to what extent you want to be involved in the therapeutic process in terms of your time and motivation. All sessions are about 50 minutes long and offered on a weekly basis. The cancellation policy is 24 hours prior to an appointment. At the moment, in-person sessions are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays (morning).
