I have more than 16 years experience in psychotherapy and I am very passionate about creating a safe and collaborative environment for my clients. I am currently only working online.
I have a BA in Psychology (with distinction) from the American College of Greece, an MSc in Foundations of Clinical Psychology from the University of Wales in Bangor and I am a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (GMBPsS). I have been trained in the Rational Emotive and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (RECBT) established by Dr. Albert Ellis and I am a holder of the European Diploma in Trauma Therapy with the EMDR Method. I have also completed the specialisation offered online by the University of Pennsylvania on Foundations of Positive Psychology, and as of April 2025, I hold a certificate in Trauma Informed Somatic Counselling by the International School of Holistic Healing. I am currently training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I have worked with children and adults with ASD for more than 7 years using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and have been a Registered Behaviour Technician.
Having lived in 5 countries so far, I recognize the complexities of being an expatriate. I understand the intricacies of acculturation, the sense of isolation that can arise, and the importance of forging connections in a new environment. I am also very keenly aware of how important it is to be able to support ourselves by having the knowledge and the tools to observe, self-regulate and empower ourselves; whether that is because we find ourselves in a new environment, we are dealing with the aftermath of trauma, difficult relationships or any other challenging aspect of the human experience.
I have a passion for understanding people and uncovering the thoughts, emotions and patterns that make us all get stuck in self-defeating behaviours at times. Having been to therapy myself, I can truly appreciate the difficulty, the fear and the exposure one can feel while on this journey. I can also attest however to the incomparable gift that is knowing yourself, understanding yourself and loving yourself! I strive to foster a strong alliance with my clients, cultivating a collaborative partnership where we work together as a team towards your growth and well-being.
Choosing a therapist is a deeply personal decision, and I commend you for taking this step towards self-care!
