I am a Clinical Psychologist with a deep interest in understanding the complexities of the human experience. I aim to provide an open and compassionate space for you to explore your relationship with yourself and others.
I'm a Clinical Psychologist from Athens, Greece. I acquired my Bachelor's degree in the Netherlands at the University of Groningen and completed my Master's degree in Clinical Psychology at Utrecht University. During my 5 years of studying, I deepened my knowledge on human behaviour and trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have also trained in and actively practise EMDR therapy which I combine with CBT for a more trauma-informed and holistic approach.
Due to my experience with living abroad for 4 years, I am also very aware of the complexities of the expat experience and am particularly empathetic to this very unique experience.
I am a firm supporter of asking for the help that we need and am aware of the complex emotions that come with the decision to begin therapy. Therefore, I want to applaud you for taking the time to seek for help!
Regarding my approach, I mostly utilise Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). However, I strive to see each client as an individual rather than a set of symptoms and implement different skills and schools of psychological thought to best address each individual's needs. Therefore, I incorporate elements of Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and trauma-infomred therapy (EMDR).
