Born in Germany, I have moved to the Netherlands for my psychology degree and have stayed ever since. As an International abroad, I have experienced many of the unique challenges and difficulties an expat faces and therefore am able to provide support for anyone in similar circumstances. In my therapy, I want to create a safe space, in which anyone is welcome and appreciated and where a respectful and non-judgmental interaction is ensured. I use an integrative approach, where I focus on the unique needs of my clients.
Please feel free to contact me and we can schedule a free 15 minute consultation session in order to find out whether I meet your needs and expectations. I am looking forward to meeting you.
As a clinical psychologist, I mainly make use of the CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) approach. I do however work in an integrative way, including different approaches in my therapy, shaped depending on the client´s individual needs. I believe that every individual´s needs are unique and support the idea that an integrative approach is the most adequate in order to meet them. During my work at a psychiatric clinic in Berlin, I had the chance to work mainly with patients, suffering from substance abuse. I therefore have quite a good insight into this particular field. Additionally, I have educated myself quite thoroughly on BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder) and DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy), as BPD has quite a high comorbidity with substance abuse disorders.
