About me

I am a psychologist and a registered art psychotherapist for adults and teens.

I help people of all ages, abilities and genders. I specialise in relationship issues, self-esteem, anxiety, depression and trauma.

My approach is client-led, trauma-informed and influenced by lacanian psychoanalysis, feminist art therapy and LGBTQIA++ affirmative therapy.

Art Therapy (Vaktherapie) may be partially reimburshed by Dutch insurance companies.

My passion is to facilitate safe and creative spaces for people to feel seen and heard. Join one of my workshops to experience a creative community!

The necessary mentions: I have acquired with distinction an MA in Art Psychotherapy from University of South Wales. And a BSc in Psychology from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Educating myself is part of who I am so I strive to remain up to date with the contemporary clinical discourse. I currently attend seminars with the Centre of Psychoanalytic Research of Athens.

I run my private practice in person in Amsterdam and online for English and Greek speakers.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
Art therapyRecommended for those who feel more comfortable expressing emotions through creativity and want to explore their feelings through art rather than talking.
Group therapyRecommended for those who want to work through their challenges in a supportive group setting and learn from others who share similar experiences.
Lacanian psychoanalysisRecommended for those who want to explore the unconscious mind through the lens of language and desire, focusing on understanding deeper motivations.

A "typical" session can look like: 15min check-in, 15min art making, 15min reflection. My approach is client-led so each session might look a bit different. My framework is art psychotherapy. My approach is informed by lacanian psychoanalysis as well as feminist approaches in art therapy. In addition, my practice is trauma-informed and takes into consideration how stress can affect the body.

Art psychotherapy is a form of psychological therapy that combines the use of visual art materials (collage, drawing, clay, photography, etc) and talking as a form of expression and communication. Art is not used as a diagnostic tool but as a spark for self-exploration and a way of dealing with distressing emotions. No art skills needed just a bit of curiosity to explore!
