About me

I am an American Expat with a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am from California and moved to Amsterdam six years ago to experience life abroad and gain a global perspective. I know the first hand struggles that come from moving to and settling into a place far from home. I received my B.A. from University of California, Santa Barbara in Communications. I graduated with Honors in 2024 with my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have over eight years experience caring for children on the Autism Spectrum which led me to pursue my studies in marriage and family therapy to continue to help those around me grow and flourish through their seasons of life.

I speak:

Approach

Treatment Approaches
Family therapyRecommended for families who want to resolve conflicts, improve communication, and understand each other better within the family dynamic.
Psychotherapy Recommended for those who want to work through emotional or mental health challenges by talking with a trained psychotherapist.
Trauma Informed CareRecommended for those who have experienced trauma and need a safe, supportive space to heal at their own pace.
Many of us spend much of our time caught in our heads, replaying thoughts and stories that keep us relating to our pain in ways that deepen it. By the time most people come to therapy, they’re exhausted from living with the weight of anxiety or depression and understandably want those symptoms to disappear. My goal isn’t just to make the pain vanish, but to help you understand what it’s trying to tell you—so that you can relate to yourself and your experiences with more compassion and clarity. I view therapy as a process of helping you find steadiness within yourself, even when your emotions feel overwhelming. As you learn to stay more balanced in the face of strong feelings, you also gain the courage and resilience to turn toward the pain that sits beneath anxiety and depression—allowing genuine healing to begin. Together, we’ll explore the deeper layers of your story, experiences, and beliefs to help you move toward greater acceptance of life’s hurdles, and a steadier, more grounded sense of self. My approach is grounded in evidence-based methods such as mindfulness and self-reflection, parts work, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I work collaboratively and with warmth and curiosity—creating a space where you can develop insight, flexibility, and new ways of meeting life’s challenges. While things like anxiety and depression often share similar emotional roots, each person’s experience is uniquely their own. Together, we’ll explore what these experiences mean for you, honoring your individuality as we move toward healing and growth. I believe the most important aspect of a successful therapeutic process is the relationship between therapist and client. I bring warmth, curiosity, compassion, and empathy to create a safe space for you to heal and grow.  I see clients in person in Amsterdam at 560 Herengracht and at Friscasa on 167 Brouwersgracht. I also see clients online. Please do not hesitate to reach out to schedule a free introductory call. I look forward to connecting with you.
