I predominantly use the EMDR method combined with the holistic approach (focusing on the mind-body connection) and integrative therapy methods.
I provide a safe space for judgement-free expression, and through various techniques we can work on reducing the psychological and physiological trauma and distress symptoms (trauma can have significant impact on our physiological functions and it is perfectly normal to experience complaints such as sleep disturbance, hypervigilance, high blood pressure or extreme exhaustion, in addition to emotional dysregulation).
I typically start my intake with uncovering client's most pressing issues and history. Part of the healing process can also involve psychoeducation to gain a deeper understanding of what you are experiencing and why, and, most importantly, what you can do to change/ improve the situation.
Finally, the main aim of the support is to minimise the negative symptoms you may be experiencing and regain as much balance in your life as possible. I often work with the EMDR method since many of my clients find it highly effective for distress reduction, and integration of unfinished emotional processes and traumatic memories.
I will be very happy to support you through your healing journey tailoring each session to respond to your needs and create space for deep emotional recovery.
