My approach to therapy is grounded in research, nature and trauma-informed. We will honour your unique story and identity while exploring new ways of being that can help you live the fulfilling life that you deserve.
Hi, I'm Nushka – a Doctor in Clinical Psychology, trained in the UK and offering therapy in Amsterdam, Alkmaar and internationally online.
With specialist training from the UK and years of experience across mental health services, I support adults and adolescents navigating anxiety (social anxiety, OCD, panic attacks, phobias), trauma, low mood, identity questions and relationship issues. I have experience supporting people with the impact of burnout, chronic or life-limiting illness, grief and loss, and have worked extensively with neurodivergence. We will work together to explore your story beyond diagnostic labels and find what truly helps you.
My clients find therapy with me helps them to understand themselves better, break free from old patterns, heal from the past or live more aligned with their values. I provide a compassionate and non-judgmental space to explore what's brought you here and what can help you access more joy and fulfilment from life.
My journey from Bulgaria to the UK and now the Netherlands gives me deep understanding of what it means to build a life across borders and the richness of multicultural perspectives. I hold a space where diversity is honoured and celebrated, and where you can safely express yourself.
I am also skilled to provide support for people with more complex mental health presentations. If you are curious to explore how we can work together or would like to ask more questions, don't hesitate to get in touch.
Therapy with me is grounded in research and flexibly adapted to fit your unique needs. These include Compassion Focused Therapy (learning self-kindness over self-criticism), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (building skills to live according to your values), CBT, systemic approaches, and trauma therapies. I often integrate mindfulness and nature-based practices inspired by forest therapy.
My practice is trauma-informed, embodied and attuned to neurodiversity, cultural backgrounds, and our connection to nature. I recognise how wider societal and systemic issues affect wellbeing, and support you to reclaim your power and agency.
Whatever you might be going through, there's a way forward and I'd be honoured to walk it with you.
