Approach

Treatment Approaches
CBT: Cognitive behavioural therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
EMDRRecommended for those dealing with trauma who want to process painful memories in a structured way to reduce their emotional impact.
Schema therapyRecommended for those who want to break out of negative patterns or "schemas" that they developed early in life and keep repeating.

Mina Ülgen takes a client-centered and integrative approach to therapy, tailoring her methods to meet each individual's unique needs. She believes in fostering a safe and collaborative therapeutic space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore their challenges and strengths.

Drawing on her extensive training in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, and EMDR, Mina supports her clients in addressing a wide range of emotional and psychological concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, ADHD, and personality disorders. Her approach emphasizes understanding the root causes of distress while equipping clients with practical tools to navigate their daily lives.

Mina integrates techniques from Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and the STEPS program to help clients develop resilience and foster self-compassion. She adopts a structured yet flexible style, often combining cognitive interventions with deeper emotional work, particularly through schema and trauma-focused modalities.

For clients struggling with past traumas, Mina uses EMDR to facilitate healing by reprocessing distressing memories and reducing their emotional intensity. In working with interpersonal dynamics and long-standing patterns, she utilizes Schema Therapy to challenge maladaptive modes and foster healthy coping mechanisms.

With a multicultural sensitivity shaped by her experiences working with migrants, refugees, and individuals from diverse backgrounds, Mina excels at adapting her approach to honor the cultural and personal contexts of her clients. She has also worked with children through play therapy, helping to address developmental and emotional challenges in younger populations.

Whether conducting in-person or online therapy sessions, Mina is committed to providing accessible, effective, and empathet

I'm a psychologist for adults. Which means I understand how hard it is to be one. Especially when everyone around you keeps telling you to grow up — but no one really explains how. That's exactly what we can talk about.
