My name is Katerina Fyka and I am a psychologist trained in Person-Centered and Focusing-Oriented Psychotherapy at the Hellenic Focusing Center. I believe that every person holds within them the wisdom and capacity to move toward change, as long as they can find a space of acceptance, authenticity, and safety.
I have experience in psychosocial care settings, in supporting people with disabilities, and in initiatives that promote social inclusion and empowerment. I have also worked with individuals living with ADHD, acknowledging both their challenges and their unique strengths. In addition, I have participated in educational programs and advocacy actions related to LGBTQ+ inclusion and the enhancement of psychological resilience in vulnerable populations.
My personal journey in therapy and my deep wish for genuine connection guide my work every day — with respect, gentleness, and curiosity.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in the Person-Centered philosophy of Carl Rogers and enriched by the experiential process of Focusing-Oriented Psychotherapy. I believe that meaningful change arises through relationship — through being met, heard, and accepted just as you are, in the here and now of your experience. In our sessions, I aim to create a safe and compassionate space where what has been silent or unseen can gradually find expression. By staying present to what emerges — a feeling, a tension, a story, a breath — we allow your own inner process to unfold naturally, in its own timing and direction. This way of working invites awareness, clarity, and emotional movement, not by trying to change who you are, but by welcoming what is already there.
I work with adults navigating life transitions, emotional struggles, identity questions, ADHD, and the search for authenticity and meaning. My stance is inclusive, trauma-informed, and LGBTQ+ affirming. I value diversity and the uniqueness of each personal story.
Above all, I see therapy as a collaborative journey — a meeting between two people where something new can begin to take shape. My role is to accompany you with presence and openness, helping you reconnect with your inner sense of direction and trust what unfolds from there.
