About me

Having lived in several cities in Greece and abroad, I am now based in Athens where for the past four years I have been working in private practice with adults and adolescents. Alongside this, for the past six years I have been working in schools and in Centers for Educational and Counseling Support and Assessment, supporting children, adolescents, and parents through a range of emotional, behavioural, and developmental difficulties. I find that combining individual and collaborative clinical work supports continuous professional development. Earlier in my career, while working in a child and adolescent psychiatric department in a Greek hospital, I was involved in providing psychological assessment and support through telepsychiatry to residents of remote Aegean islands. At the time, I was somewhat sceptical about online therapy and whether it could offer the same depth as in-person sessions. Over time, this experience shifted my perspective, as I saw that meaningful therapeutic work can also take place online. Since then, a significant part of my work has been conducted online, particularly with individuals who live outside Athens or abroad.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
Integrative therapy Recommended for those who prefer a flexible approach that combines different therapies to meet their unique needs.
I see therapy as a process that can help people better understand their experiences and thoughts, feel more emotionally balanced and gradually gain confidence in managing their lives independently. In my work, I approach each person as a unique individual, with their own personality, life experiences, thoughts and concerns. I place strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative process, where decisions about the pace and frequency of sessions are made together, in line with each person's needs and readiness. My approach is integrative and tailored to each person’s needs and goals. I use evidence-based psychological interventions, including elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), focusing on identifying and working with unhelpful thought patterns.
