I hold a MSc in Counseling Psychology & Psychotherapy and a Graduate Certificate in Psychology, as well as a MA in Human Resources Management and a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Communications. Prior to my decision to shift careers, I worked for more than 15 years in the international education sector in UK and Greece, in commercial roles. When I came to realize that this career path had come to an end, following several years of personal therapy, and countless hours of studying, I decided to change direction and train to become a psychotherapist. I believe that my diverse background and exposure to different environments and life experiences enhances my understanding of a wide range of situations and life crises.
I offer individual, face-to-face and online counseling sessions, in English and Greek, for adults and adolescents. My approach is integrative, with influences mainly from person-centred, psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based cognitive psychotherapy. I believe in lifelong learning and continuous development. In addition to my academic studies, I have attended MBCT-L group therapy as well as several mindfulness-focused seminars. At present, I continue with my training in person-centered and experiential - focusing psychotherapy.
As far as my experience is concerned, I have worked with the 18-25 years' old population, in an international college setting, providing counseling sessions in Greek or English. Since 2022, I work privately, with clients facing several challenges, such as social anxiety, panic attacks, depression, suicidal ideation, obsessive-compulsive disorder and personality disorders. I believe that only when a person expresses their deepest feelings arising from past experience, can truly feel free. Each of us has potential to discover their life purpose and become the best version of themselves, with psychological nourishment and non-judgmental support.
