My name is Eleni, and I am an emerging therapist with a focus on providing compassionate, individualized psychological support. Currently, I work as a psychologist supporting refugee children through a UNHCR-partnered program. My role involves offering psychological support to children through both individual and group sessions, as well as guiding parents with counseling and informative sessions. This experience has strengthened my ability to work with individuals in crisis and support their emotional healing.
I have also gained valuable experience through internships at the "Babel" Day Centre in Athens and the Hellenische Gemeinde zu Berlin, where I provided psychotherapeutic services to diverse populations. In these roles, I conducted therapy sessions and participated in interdisciplinary teams to offer holistic care. I am also currently undergoing training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is helping me develop additional skills in working with clients to address negative thought patterns and behaviors. This ongoing training enhances my ability to offer effective, evidence-based interventions for a range of emotional and psychological challenges.
As I continue to develop my therapeutic practice, I am eager to offer 1-to-1 psychotherapy in a setting that allows for deep, personalized work with clients. My background in working with vulnerable groups, combined with my growing expertise in CBT, has equipped me with the empathy and skills to create a safe, nonjudgmental space for individuals seeking support. Whether dealing with trauma, anxiety, or life changes, I am committed to helping clients explore their emotions, build resilience, and achieve personal growth.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, cultural sensitivity, and personal experience. Having lived as an expat in two different countries and relocated within the same country, I understand firsthand the emotional challenges of adapting to new environments and managing transitions. This has shaped my ability to connect with clients facing displacement, change, or cultural adjustment.
In my current work I use a trauma-informed approach that emphasizes safety, trust, and empowerment. I also incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), in which I am currently training, to help clients reframe negative thought patterns. My focus is on creating a nonjudgmental, supportive space for healing and personal growth.
Drawing from my experiences working with multicultural populations in Athens, Berlin and Leiden, I take a flexible, client-centered approach. I aim to offer individualized support, whether addressing trauma, anxiety, or life transitions, helping clients build resilience and achieve meaningful change.
