As a nutritionist, I have been committed to helping people achieve their health goals through a holistic approach to nutrition. I have worked with people of different ages, backgrounds, and health conditions to develop personalized meal plans that maximize their health outcomes.
In addition, as a dance therapist, I have helped people express themselves through movement and improve their mental health. I have experience in providing individual and group dance therapy sessions that focus on improving mood, reducing stress, and promoting a sense of well-being.
Combining nutrition and dance therapy has greatly benefited the individuals, as it supports their physical and mental health simultaneously, leading to a more balanced and fulfilling lifestyle. I am excited to utilize my skills to provide comprehensive treatments to people in need, help them express themselves and create a safe space for both nutrition and dancetherapy sessions.
In a typical dance and movement therapy session, I start with a light warm up through subtle movement, focused on the current needs of the individual or the group.
Then the individual or the group shares a few words about their thoughts/troublesome on a specific issue (in group sessions every member gives a brief word about the other members so that they can have a variety of aspects). We then work through dancetherapeutic techniques on the specific issue (authentic movement, movement improvisation, art therapy, expressive dance, active imagination).
In the end the individuals share their experience and the circle is closed through providing both a safe mental and physical space.
