My qualifications (BA in Psychology, MSc in Forensic Psychology, PgCert. in Supervision) coupled with my long working experience made me believe that people are expert about their own lives. • I work collaboratively to create better relationships and a better understanding of how communication might affect our life. • I have experience of working across a wide range of settings and issues with children. I am interested in working with young people within neurodiversity (autism, ADHD).
• My pronouns are ‘she’, ‘her’, ‘hers’.
MSc in Systemic Psychotherapy What is Systemic Therapy? Systemic therapy is a type of physchotherapy that focuses on enhancing relationships. It's purpose is to address people in relationships, dealing with the interactions of groups and their interactional patterns and dynamics. Systemic therapy approaches problems practically rather than analytically. It seeks to identify stagnant patterns of behavior within a living system, such as a family or within couples.
I apply systemic theory in individual, family, and group settings. Each type takes a slightly different approach based on the systems theory model. • Individual therapy: Incorporates the Freud's theories with those of systems theory to resolve unconscious motivations and patterns of behaviour that affect a iperson's life.
• Couples therapy: Incorporates the Freud's theories with those of systems theory to resolve unconscious motivations and patterns of behaviour that affect a iperson's life.
• Family therapy: Examines how the family interacts as a cohesive unit and uncovers patterns that influence or impede the potential for change within the family system.
• Group therapy: Looks at how a cohesive social unit is formed and how its members interact to fulfill individual needs so the group can function successfully as a whole.
