About me

Having lived abroad for 10+ years, I know first-hand what kind of struggles expats go through. This includes loneliness, culture shocks, and searches for identity. I have experience in working with clients struggling with a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, adjustment to a new culture, grief, and adjusting to the (cognitive) impairments following accidents and brain damage.

I care about long-term improvements in wellbeing and mindfully tending to your own needs, both physically as well as mentally.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
ACT: Acceptance and commitment therapyRecommended for those who want to stop fighting negative thoughts and learn how to live with more acceptance and focus on what really matters in life.

Life can sometimes feel like an uphill battle, forcing you to make decisions that are difficult to make. In my work as a psychologist, I strongly empathize with that. During the session, it's important to me to create a space where you feel safe to express your thoughts and feelings. My approach is based on working together with you, using the resources already available to you and providing you with more tools to build a sort of 'toolbox' that you can use outside of our sessions.

As a neuropsychologist, I study how the brain works in interaction with our thoughts, feelings, and environment. Understanding how this works is often the first crucial step in learning how to deal with struggles arising from this interaction.

In promoting wellbeing, I use elements of Acceptance & Committment therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), mindfulness and schema therapy.

I only offer online sessions.
