About me

I have a Master's degree in Marriage and Family therapy and a student of both the Relational Life Institute and the Gottman Institute. I am currently based in Colorado, USA, but I spend part of my year in Amsterdam with family, and plan to move permanently soon so I can available in person for my clients. In my spare time, I love reading about African mythology, karaoke, and checking as many places as I can off of my travel checklist.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
ACT: Acceptance and Commitment TherapyRecommended for those who want to stop fighting negative thoughts and learn how to live with more acceptance and focus on what really matters in life.
DBT: Dialectical Behavior Therapy Recommended for those who want to learn skills to manage intense emotions and improve their relationships, especially if they feel easily overwhelmed.
Person-centered approachRecommended for those looking for a supportive, non-judgmental space where they can lead the conversation and explore their feelings at their own pace.
I believe that therapy should be a collaborative experience. I may have the degree and training, but ultimately, you are the expert on your life. My job is to serve as a dynamic sounding board: I challenge, guide, provide tools, and partner with you to get closer to your ideal self and relationships.

Experience

In my internship, I worked mostly with clients who were low-income, and were diverse in racial/ethnic backgrounds, sexuality, and relationship types. In my private practice now, I mostly work with folks who are BIPOC, Queer, and Ethically Non-Monogamous.

Education

I received a Master of Arts of Marriage and Family Therapy with a concentration in Systemic Sex Therapy from National University. I received a Bachelor of Science in Humans Development and Family Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I completed my year long therapy internship at People House in Denver, Colorado.
