I am a licensed clinical psychologist, artist, and writer in Austin, Texas. I graduated with my PhD in clinical and counseling psychology from a top ranking program/university in the US. I am a published academic researcher, and spent years studying emotion regulation and the psychological and neurobiological impact and treatment of trauma.
My current focus is individual psychotherapy in my private practice, humanitarian aid, providing remote sessions with no cost for those affected by the current war in Ukraine. This is my passion, and as such, I am also actively developing and implementing a training program in trauma education and treatment for mental health professionals in Ukraine. I currently deliver these trainings and lectures to Ukrainian clinicians remotely via Zoom.
My specialization is in treating all forms of trauma, including PTSD, C-PTSD (complex trauma), disaster/war trauma, and attachment trauma. This includes anxiety, panic, depression, and other emotional difficulties associated with current and/or past trauma. This includes working with interpersonal issues, such as difficulties in relationships, social support, and forming/maintaining connections with others.
I take a depth-oriented, psychodynamic approach to therapy. I consider psychotherapy both an art and a science, and value the relationship between myself and my client above all. I focus on immediate coping in times of emotional crisis and providing interventions informed by the psychological and neurobiological impacts of trauma.
