I am a woman, a mother, a daughter, a friend, a musician, a dancer, a therapist. I believe art is a way of healing. It has been in my own experience and that is why I feel the passion to share it.
I have a slight visual impairment and music saved my life, dance brought me the joy of feeling my body, moving it, feeling strong and free, voice is the ultimate tool that has given me great experiences, the most important was giving birth to my daughter using sound and movement.
I studied classical music, classical guitar in the Conservatory of Barcelona, then I did the Master in Musictherapy in the University of Barcelona, by then I was already dancing for local dance companies and then I studied Gestalt therapy. My experience as a musictherapist goes from children with dissabilities to workshops for any kind of person. Nowadays I teach in the Master of Musictherapy in the University of Barcelona and in the Master of Art therapy and Truama for the Instituto Poiesis in Barcelona as well. As a gestalt therapist I do in person and online sessions for individuals or couples. My specialty and active research is Voice movement therapy.
My passion is Voice Movement Therapy which is the mix of everything I know and have experienced, the power of the voice and the body as tools to get to know yourself, to express yourself, to heal.
The way the sessions work is first setting what we are going to work on, what does the person need and from there we warm up the body and the voice and I guide the person through different exercises that are both working on the physical aspect and the psychological aspect of the person. After the experience we talk and integrate the insights that came to be able to bring them to everyday life.
