Do you appear functional to others while privately feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or alone? Do you silently suffer from anxiety, depression, or something you cannot share? I might be your guy.
I imagine you as someone who might be thoughtful, capable, and handle most challenges on your own. To the outside world—even to the people who know you best—you look like you have it all together. But privately, you might be struggling in ways that few around you would ever suspect.
I specialize in high-functioning people, who tend to suffer secretly.
While you keep up appearances, you might be suffering from a painful breakup, have a difficult time making sense of something that happened in your past, or cope with an undercurrent of anxiety and loneliness. Maybe you feel lonely and unable to free yourself from a compulsion or addiction. Or, perplexed by questions of an existential nature, do you feel that the meaning and satisfaction life once had now escape you?
Whatever is challenging you, you are welcome here just as you are, no matter your creed, background, or sexuality. My approach to therapy is warm, reflective, and non-judgmental. Bring it all. Bring it on. Together we can create a space free from prejudice and pressure, gain an authentic understanding of your situation, and work towards realistic solutions.
I have lived and worked across Africa, the Middle East, and the Far East before settling in Berlin, and have travelled to more than 60 countries. I’ve been around the block. Because not everything can be learned from books, I like to believe that these experiences help me understand people on a deep and uniquely personal level.
I hold two degrees in philosophy, which inform my approach through an existential lens.
I obtained my M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the International Psychoanalytic University Berlin and am accredited in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
Rather than simply focusing on symptoms, we focus our enquiry into understanding your deeper emotional patterns and unconscious dynamics that influence how you relate to others, to yourself, and to the world.
Finding the right therapist matters. If what you've read resonates with you, I invite you to get in touch. Together, we can explore whether therapy with me feels like the right fit.

Depending on your needs, I draw from both psychoanalytic psychotherapy and EMDR. That probably sounds like a mouthful, but in more straightforward language, it means we work together to understand the deeper emotional patterns, past experiences, and how we relate to others (so-called “attachment styles”) that may be contributing to whatever challenges you are now facing.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy endorsed by the World Health Organization for trauma treatment. It can also be very effective for panic, performance anxiety, stress, and addictions.
Therapy with me is collaborative, and we pace it according to your needs. Understanding your needs might actually prove to be an important part of the process — they are not always obvious. Some clients come because they are struggling through a specific crisis, while others seek a deeper understanding of themselves and the patterns shaping their choices.
If you feel that this approach resonates with you, let’s have a short, free introductory consultation. We can discuss what bothers you and then you can go and have a think. We might be a fit.
