About me

(Für deutsch siehe unten)

I have been studying and researching human cognition and behavior for years, always driven by the conviction that we can only change what we understand.

Why do we keep keep doing things that deprive us of sleep, damage our relationships, set us up for failure when we need to perform?

Why is our nervous system constantly running on maximum stress levels, even though most of the things that trigger it (unanswered e-mails, social comparisons on social media or a random deadline) cannot physically harm us in any way?

Why does a painful memory keep lingering in our mind, even though we have thought about it a million times from every possible angle?

In my attempt to find answers to all these questions regarding the human condition, I have not only studied and practiced psychology, but also explored means of more creative expression such as film, philosophy and also spent some years working in creative agencies before finding my way back to psychotherapy. I enjoy engaging with people from all different backgrounds and situations, always prioritizing understanding your personal situation in-depth before working on tailored solutions.

I am currently trainging and working at the university clinic of the PHB. I am originally from Hamburg, and after spending time in the Netherlands and the US I have found a new home in the tumultuous city of Berlin. From my and other peoples´ experience I know how difficult it can be to navigate the ambivalent feelings of leaving home to live in a new place, which is why I am always happy to help you with any difficulties regarding migrant/expat life.
