Systemic psychological counselling for adults, couples and families, with particular attention to male lived experiences and to people with disabilities and their relatives. Understand what is. -> Shape what comes next!
I am a psychologist with a Master’s degree in Psychology, specialising in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, and I am currently training in systemic psychotherapy. I have worked in different clinical settings, particularly in child and adolescent psychosomatic medicine and psychiatry. My work has included psychological assessment and individual sessions as well as working with parents, families and wider professional and social systems.
I pay particular attention to two lived realities: male lived experiences and life with disability, including the experiences of relatives. As a wheelchair user, I am personally familiar with a life in which barriers, dependency and social expectations can play a role. This experience informs my perspective without leading me to assume that I already understand another person’s individual experience.
I value a combination of professional clarity and a personal, direct way of working. Psychological support does not have to begin only when someone is in crisis. Wanting to understand yourself, a relationship, a decision or your current life situation more clearly can be an equally meaningful starting point.
I work from a systemic perspective. This means that I do not look at a concern in isolation, but in relation to relationships, biography, roles, expectations, personal values and previous attempts to find solutions. People affect one another, and change rarely happens in only one part of a system. I am therefore interested in the interactions that keep certain patterns in place and in identifying where something can begin to shift.
Understanding is important, but it is not the only goal. We also look at what is already working, which resources are available and where concrete possibilities for action may emerge. I do not work from a predefined idea of what the “right” life, relationship or decision should look like.
My style is collaborative, clear and respectful. Depending on the issue, our work may include systemic questions, changes of perspective, biographical reflection, work with different inner parts or practical exercises. My role is not to provide ready-made answers, but to create a space in which new perspectives can emerge and workable next steps can be developed.
Difficulties also rarely exist in isolation. Work-related stress may be connected to relationships, sexuality to self-image or social expectations, and separation to earlier experiences or current roles. I therefore approach topics such as sexuality, kink or spirituality in a matter-of-fact and non-judgmental way, without unnecessarily treating them as unusual or problematic.
Experience
My professional experience spans clinical psychology, psychosomatic medicine, psychiatric outpatient care and online psychological support.
Since January 2026, I have worked at the Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic (PIA) of University Hospital Frankfurt (Oder), with a focus on psychometric assessment and peer case consultation within the clinical team.
Previously, I worked as Lead Psychologist at Helios Klinikum Bad Saarow, where I helped establish the Department of Paediatric Psychosomatics. My responsibilities included individual, group and family therapy, parent consultations, leading clinical rounds, treatment planning, and coordinating follow-up care with youth welfare services and other involved agencies.
Earlier clinical experience includes the “New Psychiatry” model project (§ 64b SGB V) at Alexianer St. Hedwig Kliniken Berlin, as well as work involving care-planning meetings, psychodiagnostic assessment and medico-psychological evaluations at the Evangelischer Waisenhausverein in Munich.
I also gained experience in disability policy through work related to the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) at state-government level.
My academic background combines scientific psychology with a clear clinical and psychotherapeutic focus.
I completed a Master of Science in Psychology with a focus on Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy at Medical School Berlin (MSB). My studies included clinical psychological assessment, mental health conditions, psychotherapeutic approaches and the scientific foundations of psychological treatment.
Before this, I completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU).
Building on this academic training, I am completing postgraduate training in psychotherapy with a systemic orientation. The systemic perspective strongly informs my current work: rather than focusing only on individual symptoms, I also consider relationships, life circumstances, recurring patterns, resources and the interactions between them.
I also hold a German permit to practise psychotherapy under the Heilpraktikergesetz, limited to the field of psychotherapy.
