About me

What if the greatest consequence of difficult relationships isn't only what happened to you—but gradually losing trust in yourself?

Do you constantly question your own feelings, memories, or decisions? Perhaps you grew up with a narcissistic or emotionally immature parent and learned that keeping the peace was safer than expressing your own needs. Or perhaps you've found yourself in relationships where, little by little, you stopped trusting your own perceptions and intuition.

Many of the people I work with are intelligent, insightful and deeply caring. They don't come because they lack insight. They come because, somewhere along the way, staying connected to others became more important than staying connected to themselves.

Over time, this can show up as chronic self-doubt, people-pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, fear of abandonment, confusing chemistry with safety, or feeling like you've somehow lost yourself in relationships.

As a Clinical Psychologist, I specialise in helping adults heal from relational trauma, complex family dynamics, and the lasting impact of growing up with emotionally unavailable, emotionally immature, or narcissistic caregivers. I also work with people recovering from unhealthy relationship patterns who want to understand why they keep repeating the same dynamics.

Together, we make sense of how these experiences have shaped your nervous system, your relationships, and the way you see yourself. We rebuild trust in your own perceptions, strengthen healthy boundaries, and help you reconnect with the person you were before survival became your way of relating to yourself and others.

My approach integrates evidence-based psychology, attachment theory, trauma-informed practice, neuroscience, and somatic understanding, combining scientific knowledge with deep compassion for the complexity of being human.

I don't believe healing is about becoming someone new.

It's about rediscovering the person you never had to stop being.

Whether you're struggling with the impact of your childhood, questioning a current relationship, or trying to rebuild your sense of self after one has ended, I'd be honoured to support you.

HOW I WORK

I believe that one of the greatest consequences of trauma is not only what happened to us, but the gradual loss of trust in ourselves.

Many of the people who find me have spent years adapting to the needs, emotions, and expectations of others. They have become experts at understanding everyone around them, yet somewhere along the way, they have lost connection with themselves.

They often tell me they feel confused. They question their own perceptions, struggle to make decisions, and no longer know which thoughts, feelings, or needs they can truly trust. They have become exhausted from carrying too much for too long.

My work is about helping people find their way back to themselves.

As a Clinical Psychologist with psychodynamic training, I integrate evidence-based psychology with attachment theory, Somatic Experiencing®, breathwork, mindful body awareness, and other integrative approaches. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we explore the patterns that have shaped your relationships, your nervous system, and the way you have learned to relate to yourself.

Over time, something begins to shift.

The constant confusion gradually gives way to greater clarity.

The need to constantly adapt softens into a stronger connection with your own values and needs.

The guilt that once followed every boundary slowly loses its grip.

The parts of you that learned to survive with shame, hypervigilance, or self-doubt are no longer seen as problems to eliminate, but as intelligent adaptations that deserve understanding and care.

My hope is that, over time, you become less preoccupied with what everyone else needs from you and more connected to the quiet inner voice that asks:

"What feels true for me?"

Because healing is not about becoming someone new.

It is about returning to the person you were before you learned that belonging required abandoning yourself.

PARENTING AFTER TRAUMA

Becoming a parent often awakens parts of ourselves that we thought had long been left behind.

Many parents tell me that they desperately want to offer their children something different, yet find themselves reacting in ways they never intended. Old wounds suddenly become present again.

My work supports parents in understanding these moments with compassion rather than shame. Together, we learn to recognise what belongs to the past, what belongs to the present, and how repair, emotional safety, and secure attachment can grow—not through perfection, but through awareness, connection, and self-compassion.

A LIFE BETWEEN CULTURES

Having lived and worked across several continents myself, I understand both the challenges and the richness of building a life between cultures.

I offer counselling in both English and German and work online with individuals, couples, and groups around the world.

FINDING YOUR WAY BACK TO YOURSELF

You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out.

You do not need to prove that you have suffered enough.

If you are longing to feel calmer in your body, clearer in your mind, and more connected to yourself, I would be honoured to walk alongside you.

I believe the deepest transformation does not happen when we become someone else.

It happens when we gradually stop abandoning ourselves and begin to trust our own experience again.

Because perhaps healing is not about finding a new self.

Perhaps it is about finally coming home to the one who has been waiting patiently all along.
