I work at the intersection of psychological and spiritual growth, where finally the two are indistinguishable.
Getting in touch and scheduling a first session is the best way to see whether working together could be supportive and beneficial for you.
I grew up between the ocean and hills in Southern California, and have lived in Europe for ten years. I have lived independently and adventurously and have gained a lot of life experience. My practice draws on a prolonged examination and integration of my own traumas. I studied Western philosophy (UC Berkeley and Freie Universität) for many years before training in therapy and Eastern spiritualities. I can tell you more about me during an initial session, if it's relevant to you, and especially if it's supportive of what you're wishing for in therapy.
I speak German fluently, at an academic and colloquial level, and mostly work in English
I see relationship as a powerful vehicle for growth, change and self-realization.
Together we create a safe, spacious, intersubjective container for exploration, growth and healing. I respect the uniqueness of individual experience, and work with you in a gentle, precise and realistic way, always on the basis of your needs and intentions. Sometimes we need to try things out and get curious about what's happening.
My practice combines depth-psychology (psychodynamic/psychoanalytic) with mindfulness and the latest research in personality development (attachment psychology, interpersonal neurobiology), as well as drawing on body-oriented approaches. Keywords: C-PTSD, object relations, characterology, interpersonal neurobiology, intersubjectivity theory, embodied spirituality, relational psychoanalysis, bioenergetics, attachment, Jungian approach, present-moment (Gestalt), trauma-informed
I work both top-down (thinking and understanding) and bottom-up (feeling and experiencing), responding in the present moment and tracing connection and disconnection.
I believe in the subtle, life-changing power of bringing more of ourselves into our lives and relationships.
I believe you can trust yourself and the inherent wisdom in who you are. My practice is about connecting with that inherent wisdom for your natural unfolding.
My practice honors the courage it may take to reach out to another human being.
I am a certified master practitioner of the NeuroAffective Relational Model – an advanced approach to working with attachment, relational and developmental trauma. Like many practitioners, I draw on so many techniques and schools of thought that it would be overly complicated to write about them all here.
