I believe in the healing power of sound and music & use music making, sound and vibroacoustics as a utility to help overcome traumatic issues. No prior musical experience necessary Originally from the United Kingdom, I have been based in Berlin since 2019. In my private practice I run in person group and individual sessions available on regular appointments. After completing my music studies in London, I worked in the field of music production for several years, gaining initial experience in music therapy. For the "Finding Rhythms" project, I developed and implemented a project for young offenders in a London prison for juvenile offenders in forensic psychiatry, working with a team of psychologists and music therapists. The aim of the project was to record an album together with the young people, producing song lyrics and beats under my guidance. This experience had a lasting impact on me, leading me to undertake an apprentiship as a music therapist at the Alexianer Hospital in Berlin . There, among other things, I conducted therapeutic interventions for patients with trauma-related mental health issues, addiction, and dementia, both in inpatient and day clinic settings. I successfully completed my master's thesis in 2021 and expanded my practical experience in the Dutch high-security prison in Vucht, where I led individual and group therapy sessions. Through diverse experiences, I am prepared to help people with various issues.
With my multicultural background, having grown up in England and the Netherlands, and my fluency in English, Dutch, and German, I find it easy to respond to the diverse needs of service users. A calm and empathetic nature enables me to develop tailored music therapy interventions that address the emotional and physical aspects of care. Creativity also plays an important role in my work, and I am always interested in developing new concepts and working alongside clients to develop a diverse and flexible care plan.
