About me

I am a fully-licensed cognitive-behavioral therapist with a graduate degree in psychology, I have an integrative approach and work with classical therapy methods as well as new approaches such as schematherapy, dialectic-behavioral therapy and mindfulness. I base my work on empirical research, however I am committed to fully grasp each client’s individual perspective and tailor the treatment to your individual needs. Therapy is teamwork: You know your circumstances best, you know your personal strengths and weaknesses. During my extensive clinical training and my previous work experience I have worked with clients from all walks of life presenting with a wide range of psychological symptoms, spanning from depression and anxiety to trauma or psychosis. During our sessions we will use our combined potential and knowledge to create the changes in your life you want to achieve.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
CBT: Cognitive behavioural therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
DBT: Dialectical behaviour therapyRecommended for those who want to learn skills to manage intense emotions and improve their relationships, especially if they feel easily overwhelmed.
EMDRRecommended for those dealing with trauma who want to process painful memories in a structured way to reduce their emotional impact.

I believe there is power in each of us to find new solutions and grow. I am dedicated to assist you in this process. I place great value on transparency, empathy and unconditional acceptance of your individual perspective. In the therapeutic process we will draw on your personal experiences and strengths in order to facilitate change. My work is also influenced by Marshall Rosenberg’s approach of Nonviolent Communication as well as Kirsten Neff’s Mindful Self-Compassion.

Of course, I am open to work with clients of all genders and sexual orientations.

Please note that I am not affiliated with public insurances (like TK or AOK etc.) and can therefore only accept clients who have private insurance or self-pay. It is possible to try and get your public insurance to refund my treatment (this is called "reimbursement") but that can take a bit of time and effort for you as a client. In this case, clients make one self-payed appointment to get to know me and then start the process with the insurance company.

It is important to know that I invoice according to the German Scale of Psychotherapy Fees (Gebührenordnung für Psychotherapeuten, GOP). The above listed fees are examples of regular billing codes, but can vary individually. Don t hesitate to ask for more information.
