About me

I am licenced cognitive- behavioral therapist with a graduate degree in psychology. I have lived in the UK for a few years and I`ve been based in Berlin for over 10 years now. I have an interest in supporting people of all gender identities and neurodiversities and therefore it has become part of my practice to accompany transitioning processes according to the standards of the World Professional Association of Transgender Health, as well as Outing processes, ADHD diagnostics and coping with the respective challenges.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
CBT: Cognitive behavioral therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
Clinical psychologyRecommended for those who need help with diagnosing and treating more complex mental health issues, often involving assessments and evidence-based treatments.
Schema therapyRecommended for those who want to break out of negative patterns or "schemas" that they developed early in life and keep repeating.
I believe that every person has their own inner power for growth and individual development and that therapy can help to restore and recconect with those. I view psychotherapy in my practice as an offer to work through ones own mental problems and the stress connected with those. It is of great importance to me to offer a transparent, individually adapted, non-judgmental approach that is in line with current scientific findings. Therefore my approach to therapy is an integrative one combining classical cognitive-behavioral therapy with current approaches such as schematherapy, emotion focused therapy, mindfulness and dialectic-behavioral therapy. I am convinced that through taking the courage to acknowledge and work with one's own stressful feelings a better quality of life can be (re)gained. Please note that I am not affiliated with public insurances (like TK or AOK etc.) and can therefore only accept clients who have private insurance or self-pay. It is possible to try and get your public insurance to refund the treatment ("reimbursement") but that might take a bit of time and effort for you as a client. If you are interested in reimbursment, clients make one self-payed appointment to get to know me and then start the process with the insurance company.
