I am a clinical psychologist and couples counsellor, based in Berlin, Germany. My firsthand experience building a life in a foreign country and my multicultural education have equipped me with the tools to navigate cultural differences in relationships with sensitivity and understanding.
While my psychodynamic education and personal analysis have shown me firsthand the ways that problems from our childhoods can present themselves in familiar, but unwanted ways. I seek to help you work with these insights to get in touch with your deepest, most authentic self.
My work with couples began with guiding pairs through a conflict situation and a Free Association task for a research project aimed at uncovering the factors that make up, "The Best Possible Relationship."
Through this work, I saw just how powerful the way partners respond to one another is- as well as the profound impact that small, but warm and positive interactions had on their bond.
In the most challenging moments, negative interactions fuel the fire. Getting trapped in this cycle can make it even more challenging for couples to see eye-to-eye, let alone connect on balanced ground.
In my work, I encourage couples to find tender moments to share with one another like reaching out a hand, or cracking a joke, or being the first one to apologize after there's been a breach of trust.
I seek to help couples find ways to cultivate a mutual appreciation for one another, despite their differences.
My work is dedicated to helping couples find ways to communicate and overcome conflict together in a way that helps them reach the full potential of their relationship.
