I'm a BA (Hons) Applied Psychology graduate from the leading university in India- Delhi University (2018) and a postgraduate from an institute of National importance- National Forensic Sciences University (2020) in M.Sc. Clinical Psychology. Since 2020, I've been practicing with firms and independently with clients from all around the world. My focus areas cover the DSM-5 disorders and issues like anger management, identity crises, adolescent and adult counseling and the likes. My clients fall between the ages of 18-40 years.
I am certified from the International Association of Therapists (IAOTH) in the following therapies: Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT) Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy(REBT) Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
I've been described as an empathetic yet high on clarity about what it is I'd like for my sessions to look like. I work with a highly collaborative approach and taking from the REBT approach to therapy I make use of homework tasks as part of the extended therapy outside of sessions. This allows for both clients and myself to get to know gap areas and see clear improvement in behavior.
If you are looking for someone to get straight to the point with you or you want someone to lend an ear every now and then, then reach out to me and we'll help you become a more functional and fulfilled person together.
I lean towards using the following approaches all the while being collaborative:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) Dialectical Behaviour Therapy(DBT)
Which of the above I use with a specific client depends on the case at hand and the client-approach fit as no one therapy fits all even if the problem back ground is the same. Once both the client and I agree on the therapy after being psycho-educated about the approach I would be using, we proceed and if needed change the approach later on. Change happens only when the current therapy doesn't show any significant changes even after every other factor is undertaken satisfactorily.
