Roles, and responsibilities across these roles
· Providing an art psychotherapy assessment and treatment service to adult/ young people mental health challenges
· Planning and prioritising client caseloads, specifically clients detained under the Mental Health Act and those managing their mental health in the community
· Assessing patients and clients for therapeutic support
· Preparing written initial assessments, progress reviews, and discharge summaries on regular basis and disseminating these to other involved professionals, agencies and clients as appropriate
· Applying Art Psychotherapy theory/models to understanding and interpreting the process and outcome of psychotherapy sessions
· Creating a safe, containing and facilitating environment
· Assess client's mental state and identifying any significant risk factors, or, collaboratively undertaking risk assessments with other professionals
· Promotion of Art Psychotherapy
· Maintain comprehensive electronic Progress Records and statistics for audit on all contacts with service users.
· Evaluating Art Therapy intervention in conjunction with clients and other professionals
·Supervision of Art Therapy trainees
· Research and development of service, and alongside delivering training to MDT this included being part of the ERA research project which is a Manualised longitudinal piece of research that looks at the efficacy of the Arts Therapies
Managing a case load of private practice clients from a range of diverse cultures, intersectional identities, including people who identify as GSRD.
