About me

I am an intersectional art psychotherapist with over two decades of practice within the UK National Health Service, as a private practitioner and supervisor. I am passionate about working with people who are impacted on by their intersectional identities such as their neuro- diversity, ethnicity, gender, disability, class, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, relationship style, and non- traditional forms of education. I actively engage in an anti-colonial therapeutic practice which uses a range of healing processes and is underpinned by a variety of theoretic and philosophical influences. These include but are not limited to transpersonal, existential, Buddhist and object relations. These perspectives are gathered to be used in recognition of the complexity of constraints on lived experience under the influence of the brutality of discrimination and deception of privilege.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
Art therapyRecommended for those who feel more comfortable expressing emotions through creativity and want to explore their feelings through art rather than talking.
Psychotherapy Recommended for those who want to work through emotional or mental health challenges by talking with a trained psychotherapist.
I actively engage in a de- colonising therapeutic practice, one that recognises the oppositional constraints on lived experiences under the influence and brutality of discrimination and ultimately the falsity of many types of societal privilege I believe that art heals and have witnessed people discover themselves again and again through creative process and relating. Whether you are at a cross roads in your life or would like to make sense of past challenges/traumas. Please do get in touch in-order to receive the ‘holding support’ of a dynamic therapy that will enable you to access your innate ability to interrogate, integrate and compassionately transform.
